Google Launches Currents
Google has finally launched it Flipboard competitor called “Currents” which gives users another way to enjoy content online including Images, video and other rich media through HTML5. The new application has been in beta testing stages for months now under the code-name “Propeller” and is described as a new social publishing platform.
According to Google:
“Google Currents is a new application for Android devices, iPads and iPhones that lets you explore online magazines and other content with the swipe of a finger. It brings together this content in a beautiful and simple way so you can easily navigate between words, pictures and video on your smartphone or tablet”
Lets see how this stacks up against the mighty Flipboard which is the current king of social news readers.
