Microsoft Launches SkyDrive Redesign

Ok, so Microsoft is no “Apple” when it comes to design we all know that, but, from what I have seen so far, that could all be about to change. I love the new Outlook.com which they launched a few weeks ago, its fast and the design is refreshing especially for a Microsoft product and it looks like SkyDrive will also feature many of those key elements. The new redesign of their SkyDrive storage service was unveiled today on their Inside Skydrive blog and continues their approach to a unified user experience across all of their products.

The updated also introduces some new features like instant search, drag & drop, a contextual toolbar, and better sorting of files that you stored. Microsoft has also announced that it will roll our a revamped mobile experience that looks to match the desktop and web experience, Android users will also be happy to know that the official SkyDrive app will hit the Google Play store in just a few weeks.

The roll out is happening just now, and should be with everyone globally in the next 24 hours….

What do you think of the new Metro UI on Microsoft’s products?
